Providence's signature event, WaterFire, is an award-winning fire sculpture installation on the three rivers in downtown Providence. Created by local artist Barnaby Evans, WaterFire is a must-see for visitors and is a quick walk away from The Beatrice. Lighting up over eighty braziers from Waterplace Park to Memorial/South Main Street Park, the event is truly a sight to behold. Lighting occurs shortly after sunset and the fires remain lit until 12:30am.

Settled mainly by Italian-American immigrants in the early 1900s, Federal Hill continues to be home to Italian community and culture, with several longstanding favorites including trattorias, bakeries, wood-fired pizza, textile, and gift shops.
Located steps from The Beatrice, The Providence Arcade (also known as The Westminster Arcade) is a historic shopping center built in 1828. The first enclosed shopping mall in the US, the Arcade is a model of Greek Revival architecture. The historic site was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1976. After an extensive renovation, the Arcade is buzzing once more, with restaurants, coffee shops, a whiskey bar, and unique retail shops, tucked inside.
